Your Questions, Answered

  • Not exactly — and that’s intentional.

Stupid Good Media isn’t a marketing or advertising company. We focus specifically on media training and preparation. That means helping people show up confident, clear, and on message when they’re in front of an audience or the camera.

If you need marketing support, we’re happy to refer you to trusted marketing partners we work alongside regularly.

  • No — we don’t book media.

Our role begins after media opportunities are secured. Once you have an interview, appearance, or event lined up, we step in to make sure you’re fully prepared to make the most of it.

Think of us as the team that helps you nail the moment.

  • Not at all. In fact, we work with PR firms all the time.

PR firms do the critical work of shaping strategy and securing opportunities. We support that work by preparing the talent to deliver strong, confident, and consistent messaging.

    In many cases, we’re:

    • Brought in as a contractor by PR firms, or

    • Working alongside PR teams when hired by the company or talent

We see ourselves as an extension of the PR team, not a replacement.

  • Great question — they’re related, but not the same.

Media training is broader and can include:

    • Experienced talent who just need product or campaign messaging

    • Executives or influencers who are new to media and need the basics

    • Learning how to answer questions, stay on message, and communicate clearly under pressure

Media coaching is more hands-on and situational. This often means:

    • A member of our team is on set or on standby

    • Helping talent process tough interviews

    • Managing nerves and energy

    • Offering encouragement and real-time guidance

Both are designed to help you show up calm, confident, and prepared.

  • We collaborate closely with PR firms to prepare their talent for media, whether that’s:

    • Podcasts

    • Radio interviews

    • Broadcast or major media

    • Satellite Media Tours (SMTs)

We start by understanding how the PR firm measures success, then tailor our training to support those goals. Depending on the situation, we may work:

    • Directly for the PR firm, or

    • Alongside them when we’re hired by the company or the talent

Alignment and execution are always the priority.
